Accra, April 8, GNA – The Global Fund, World Bank, UNICEF and the Clinton Foundation have signed agreements that would make it possible for developing countries to purchase high-quality AIDS medicines and diagnostics at less than 50 per cent of currently prices.
A statement made available to the GNA in Accra by UNICEF said the agreements signed separately by the institutions involved would pave the way for countries supported by the institutions to gain access to drug and diagnostics at prices negotiated by the Clinton Foundation.
It said the new agreements were aimed to make lowest-priced AIDS drugs and diagnostics available to hundreds of thousands of patients throughout the developing world.
