Controversial preacher Evangelist Patricia Asiamah, popularly known as Agradaa, has issued a fiery response to a defamation suit filed against her by celebrated gospel musician Empress Gifty.
The lawsuit, which is demanding GH₵20 million in damages, alleges that Agradaa repeatedly used her social media platforms to disseminate false and defamatory content, which, according to Empress Gifty, has significantly damaged her reputation, emotional well-being, and career.
But Agradaa, known for her brash style and unapologetic online persona, appears unfazed by the legal challenge. In a TikTok video posted on Wednesday, May 21, and sighted by Ghana Weekend, the evangelist scoffed at the suit with a bold statement.
“Every idiot can go to court,” she declared. “I have left the farm; I’m dealing with classy people now. So I don’t have time to come out and engage in banter with just anyone. I will beat Hopeson and Gifty – let me tell you — you can go to court 100 times, 200 times — I don’t give a damn.”
Agradaa didn’t stop there. She also lashed out at Hopeson Adorye, Empress Gifty’s husband, claiming he incited public hatred against her. “For your stupid Hopeson Adorye to sit on the radio and say that I’m evil, that I should be beaten and killed, and then you, his wife, come out and insult me — someone else’s wife — that’s nonsense,” she said.
Making her stance even clearer, Agradaa added, “Let me tell you, those courts are used to scare, I am not one of them. If you sue me for $200 billion, I will sue your husband—in—dollars.”
The bitter row between the two prominent figures has sparked significant attention across social media and traditional media platforms, with many watching closely to see how the legal battle unfolds. But if Agradaa’s words are anything to go by, she has no plans of backing down without a fight.
