Agona West NPP not happy with handling of flood victims

Agona Swedru, June 26, GNA – The Agona West Constituency of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has called on the government, to as a matter of urgency, restore commercial activities in Agona Swedru and Nyakrom as they represented the life-wire of commercial activities in the Central Region. A statement issued and signed by the Constituency Secretary, Mr Jeff Safo and copied to the Ghana News Agency at Agona Swedru, said; “We are disappointed in the sense that the government is not treating the flood issue with the attention it requires to bring immediate relief to the affected people”.

However the party wished to thank President John Evans Atta Mills for visiting the town to express his sympathy for the flood victims and acquaint himself with the extent of damage caused to the bridges and roads in the municipality.

According to the statement, the party was preparing feverishly to come to the aid of the flood victims and has therefore expressed its sympathy to all the flood victims and wished them well. 26 June 10
