Agona West NPP Executives suspended

Agona Swedru (C/R), Sept 15, GNA – The Central Regional Executives of the NPP has slammed an indefinite suspension on the entire executive of the Agona West Constituency of the party for gross misconduct A statement by Dr Kweku Ghartey, Regional Chairman, said the decision was taken after the Regional Executives had thoroughly deliberated on the issues raised by the constituency executives, stating their unwillingness to work with Mr Samuel Obodai, the incumbent MP and the party’s parliamentary candidate.

The suspended executives are Mr Adofo Dwamena, Chairman, Mr Henry Taliskis, Secretary, Ms Evelyn Dodoo, Women’s Organiser, Nana Kofi Eku, Treasurer and Emmanuel Abitey, Assistant Secretary. The rest are Mr Samuel Donkor, Vice Chairman, Mr Augustine Wood-Eshun, Second Vice Chairman, Mr Baffuor Awuah, Youth Organiser, Mr Jeff Sarfo, Organiser and Mr Samuel Kobina Aidoo, Financial Secretary.

It said there was no merit in their allegations against the Mr Obodai and described the action of the constituency executives as an affront and betrayal of the party’s cause. The statement said that a five-member interim executive had been appointed to oversee the day-to-day administration of the party and asked the suspended executives to conform to the directives to avoid disturbances.
