Agona West Municipality gets new chief executive

Mrs Ama Benyiwa Doe, the Central Regional Minister, has sworn into office Mr Samuel Oppong, the new Chief Executive of the Agona West Municipal.

Mrs Benyiwa Doe administered the oath of office and secrecy to Mr. Oppong at a ceremony witnessed by dignitaries including Nana Kobina Botwe II, Swedruhene and Adontenhene of Nyakrom Traditional Area, and Nana Okofo Katakyi Nyakoh Eku X, Omanhene of Nyakrom Traditional Area.

She appealed to the chiefs, opinion leaders, groups and youth associations in the Agona West area to cooperate with the new Municipal Chief Executive to facilitate the development of the area.

Mr. Oppong pledged to work hard to improve the standard of living of the people in the Municipality and thanked the chiefs for their support assuring them of transparent and open door administration.

Mr. Oppong expressed regret about the poor revenue generation of the assembly and gave the assurance that all leakages and bottlenecks would be dealt with.**
