Agogoso to get good drinking water

Agogoso (Ash), Sept 19, GNA- The chiefs and people of Agogoso in the Atwima District have levied a special rate towards two boreholes at the cost of 10 million cedis for the town.

Mr Akwasi Twumasi, an Assemblyman for Agogoso electoral area told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Agogoso in Ashanti.

Mr Twumasi said Nana Kofi Ansere, chief of the town and his sub-chiefs are paying 50,000 cedis each, while every adult is paying 10,000 cedis each towards the project.

The Assemblyman said the completion of the project will prevent the people from contracting guinea worm that is common in the area. Mr Twumasi said the provision of the project will end a situation where the people especially school children walk long distances to fetch water during dry season.
