Agbogbomefia to pay fraternal visit to Okyenhene

Ho, Jan. 21, GNA – Togbe Afede XIV, Agbogbomefia of Asogli will pay a fraternal visit to Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin II, Okyenhene on Saturday January 22.

A statement from the Asogli Chieftaincy Secretariat on Friday said the visit was to promote friendship between the chiefs and people of Asogli and Okyeman.

It said the visit was in consonance with “the Asogli agenda to promote friendship with other traditional area as a way of establishing mutual trust and understanding toward strengthening the peace and unity of the motherland, Ghana”.

The statement recalled that last year, Togbe Afede paid a similar visit to the Ga Traditional Council.

It said the premise of such visits were born out of Togbe Afede’s belief that traditional rulers “must set the right example through friendship and regular interaction “to build bridges of cooperation and trust among the different ethnic groups in the country.”
