Bibiani, July 25, GNA – Ashanti Goldfields Bibiani Limited (AGBL) has presented a cheque for 5.8 million cedis to cover 39 students of the Bibiani Secondary/Technical School (BISEC).
It formed part of a scholarship package initiated by the company to promote education in the area.
Mr Amoo Mensah, Finance Manager of AGBL, who made the presentation, said the gesture was the company’s contribution to the development of education within its area of operation.
Mr Joe Ocloo Nyamadi, Headmaster of the school, who received the cheque on behalf of the beneficiaries, expressed appreciation to AGBL and appealed to AGBL and other organisations to assist the school build an assembly hall.
