AG begs for time to trace files

The Attorney-General (AG) on Monday requested the Judgment Debt Commission to grant it more time to locate files pertaining to compensation payments made to Karl Michael’s family and Mr Emmanuel Duku, a businessman.

The commission had requested the files for its perusal but the AG, which was expected to submit the three documents on the payments, could submit only one relating to Africa Automobile.

The commission granted the request asking the AG, represented by Mrs Awo Akpene Ziwu, Chief State Attorney, to make available the files to it on August 4. The Registrar General’s Department was billed to appear before the Commission on Monday but failed to appear.
