Aftermath of NPP Conference: Otiko to organize a ‘Unity Crusade’

The Women’s Organizer-elect of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Otiko Afisa Djaba, says she will lead a crusade to unite the party.

According to her, she will ensure gender balance in the NPP and was optimistic that her election as the Women’s Organizer will help empower the women in the party.

Otiko Djaba, in an interview with Peace FM, also expressed her profound gratitude to delegates and sought God’s guidance to lead the NPP.

Otiko Djaba won the Women’s Organizer position with 276 votes while her competitors; Mawusi Awity and Tina Mensah attained 113 and 250 votes respectively.

This year’s NPP National Conference has seen most of the old executives, with the exception of Otiko Djaba, voted out.
