After diabetes diagnosis, Joy FM ‘big man’ readies to outdoor ‘Sugar Project’

Joy FM’s Super Morning Show host, Kojo Yankson, has revealed to KSM that young as he is, he has become diabetic because of poor food and other lifestyle choices.

The former ATL FM morning show host who had been based in the United Kingdom for 12 years explained as a diabetic even though there are certain luxuries one cannot entertain, life can still be fun if one opens up his/her mind to new things.

“If you are a diabetic, carbohydrates are bad for you because the pancreas does not work well unless injections, pills or exercises are taken to counter the negative effect” the St. Augustine College graduate noted.

Aside sharing his life story to enlighten others to adopt healthy lifestyles, Mr. Yankson has plans of coming out with a Ghanaian cookbook to offer alternatives to persons who crave for delicious yet healthy meals and beverages.

The 30 something year old indicated that renowned chefs, as well as popular public figures, would be on board once the SUGAR PROJECT takes off.

The husband and father of one disclosed that his curious nature did not emerge on the Super Morning Show (SMS) but has deep roots explaining “growing up was a pain for my parents, I asked a lot of questions and thankfully although my teachers just wanted their orders to be followed, my parents did well to offer explanations which made sense and helped me comprehend the world better”.

Yankson’s entry was unexpected, but it appears the baby face man might just be winning over the skeptics with his humour, determination and openness to learn. It remains to be seen if he has enough ink in the tank to equal or outlive the decade second SMS royalty Kojo Oppong Nkrumah put in at the kokomlemle based station.
