Africa Week Magazine launched in London

Accra, May 13, GNA – Trans Africa Publishing Company has launched a new magazine and website Africa Week Magazine and africaweekmagazine.com in London.

A statement made available to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Accra on Thursday said the magazine would cover African affairs and issues that impinged on the Continent every week on the Internet. It said every month a special print edition that would include special focus on one country; industrial and other reports would be published.

This Special Print Edition would be sent out to subscribers each month as a bonus for subscribing to the weekly online magazine. The statement said the new magazine and website would provide an information-sharing network that would be of benefit to Africa; its institutions; governments; businesses and other organisations worldwide.

It said it would provide in-depth coverage of politics, social issues, economics, the Continent’s debts and the conflicts that tended to bedevil Africa, adding, “our standards of journalism will be of the highest order and our analysis will maintain the candid rigour that we have become known for with the West Africa Magazine”.

The statement said the magazine would have a special section that would cover Asian business and financial news because Asia had made considerable economic progress against all the odds. “We want Africa to emulate the Asian success story. There is a lot Africans can learn from Asian businesses and financial management and work ethic”, it said.

Mr Frank Afful is the Managing Editor of the Magazine, Desmond Davies the Editor and Mr Bernard Otabil, Deputy Editor.
