Afram Plains Assembly Spends 43mC On Bushfire Victims

Donkorkrom, – 11 June The Afram Plains District Assembly is spending more than 43 million cedis to provide infrastructure in three communities and to rehabilitate bushfire victims in the area. The communities are Manfekope, Adonteng and Asuoyaaso. This was announced by the district chief Executive, Lt. Col. Lord Sarfo (rtd) when he addressed a meeting of the assembly at Donkorkrom at the weekend. He said the assembly will construct classroom blocks for primary schools in the three communities and a teacher’s bungalow at Manfekope. Seeds have already been distributed to farmers whose foodstuffs were burnt. The District Chief Executive said roofing sheets are being distributed to the victims to rehabilitate their buildings.
