Afotey-Agbo calls on Awomefia

Nii Laryea Afotey-Agbo, Volta Regional Minister has assured the chiefs and people of the region of effectively superintending the development efforts of the region.

Nii Afotey-Agbo said this when he paid a courtesy call on the Awomefia of Anlo, Togbi Sri III at Anloga, as part of his tour of traditional areas to familiarize with the Chiefs and seek their blessings and collaboration during his tenure in the region.

Accompanied by his deputy Francis Ganyaglo, some District Chief Executives and Party Executives, Nii Afotey-Agbo said his enthusiasm to work for the development of the region would not be affected by the fact that he does not come from the region.

Nii Afotey-Agbo who also interacted with staff of his alma mater, Anlo Senior High School, said apart from major projects initiated from Accra, his administration would undertake its own projects.

Togbe Sri assured him that he was welcome to the region and assured him of the co-operation of the Chiefs because he was one of them.

The Minister also visited a number of projects including 60-million dollar Akplorwotokor Sea-Defence Project and GETFUND projects at Keta Senior High School and Anlo and Afiadenyigba Senior High School.
