Afoko’s boys teamed up with NDC to raid NPP HQ – Agyapong Alleges

Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong claims suspended chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Paul Afoko’s men joined forces with the ruling NDC government to raid the NPP headquarters.

He asserted Paul Afoko, after orchestrating the raid, intentionally released a statement to condemn the act in order to divert attention to another side to avoid being linked to the invasion and ransacking of the Party Head Office.

“Afoko is indeed a wicked person. He only enjoys seeing the NPP suffer and being in opposition. He has no love for the party,” he stated.

“I am very sure and certain that he (Afoko) and the NDC have something against the NPP. He is actually in bed with the NDC, which is why his boys were able to wear attire meant for the military to steal from the party office,” he asserted.

The NPP headquarters at Asylum Down in Accra on Monday morning was ransacked by some unknown men.

There are rumors that some six persons who are believed to be loyalists of Mr. Afoko dressed in military attire carried out the act.

The men reportedly searched the offices after locking up the security guards. A security guard confirmed that he knew one of the men who invaded the office as a member of the NPP.

Meanwhile, the police have arrested some 11 people in relation to the incident though the details of those arrested are unknown for now.

Police personnel have been dispatched to the scene to investigate the matter and also to maintain law and order.

But speaking on Okay Fm’s Ade Akye Abia Morning Show, the maverick politician warned the suspended chairman to be mindful of his conduct and desist from allowing members of the ruling NDC government to use him destroy the NPP.
