Afoko must apologise…. – Twum Boafo

The Chief Executive of the Ghana Free Zones Board, Kojo Twum Boafo has castigated the Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Paul Afoko for wrongly accusing the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Chairman Paul Afoko after some thugs attacked the NPP headquarters during a press conference accused the NDC of possibly being behind the attack.

According to Mr Afoko, the NDC masterminded the hooliganism which almost led to bloodshed. However some other kingpins of the NPP debunked the claim that the NDC was behind the attack.

The General Secretary of the NPP, Kwabena Agyepong in an interview on Peace FM ‘Kokrokoo’ indicated that some of the youth involved in the attack were known bodyguards of some kingpins in the NPP.

A former National Organiser of the NPP, Anthony Abeyifa Karbo also indicated that the thugs were NPP members and not NDC.

Reacting to Mr Afoko’s accusation on Radio Gold’s Alhaji and Alhaji, Kojo Twum Boafo expressed his disgust over the accusation and indicated that it was unfortunate for Mr Afoko; a leader, to make that statement.

According to him, he (Afoko) should have spoken with decorum instead of making unfounded accusations.

“He must apologise to the NDC,” he demanded.
