AFAG’s call for inquiry into Mills’ death not necessary- C/R Fishermen

The leaders and members of the various fishing communities in Central Region have expressed concern over calls by the Alliance for Accountable Governance (AFAG) for an inquiry into the death of the late President.

At an emergency meeting at Elmina on Tuesday, its spokesperson, Mr. John Quaison, a member of the National Premix Committee, accused AFAG of pestering the late President with unnecessary worries till his untimely death.

He alleged that AFAG was being controlled by some serial callers whose primary aim was to dent the image of the late President, adding that the fishing community will not allow the same treatment to be meted out to the new President, Mr. John Mahama.

The fisher folks who wore mourning cloths of black and red cautioned AFAG to desist from making such calls or they will advise themselves on their next line of action.

The fishing communities represented included Nyanyano, Biriwa, Mumford, Kormantse, Elmina and Abandze.
