AFA Foundation calls for peace in Yendi

Accra, April 29, GNA- Anointed Fellowship Ambassadors (AFA), Foundation, a Christian Developmental NGO on Thursday called on the people of Yendi to give peace a chance since it was only through that the people could fight against hunger, HIV/AIDS and illiteracy. A statement issued and signed by Mr Kofi Lucas, Founder of AFA Foundation International said the clash between the Andanis and Abudus in Accra recently should be condemned by all peace loving advocates. It said religious bodies including Christians and Muslims should join in helping to bring peace between the two factions. “Apart from the lawlessness and insecurity, it appears the two factions do not know the damage their action is causing the national economy” it stated.

It appealed to the Ga Traditional Council, custodians of the Ga land, to call on the factions and advise them to be law abiding and warned against casting insinuations and making derogatory remarks capable of sparking conflicts and lawlessness”. The statement said the two gates should be aware of the dangers their action could cause the nation economically.
