Adweso residents appeal to Assembly for assistance

Koforidua, Aug. 5, GNA – Residents of Adweso, a suburb of Koforidua, has appealed to the New Juaben Municipal Assembly to provide them with social amenities to improve their standard of living.

Mr Kwesi Yeboah, Assembly member for the area, who made the appeal on behalf of the residents, said little development had taken place at the place ever since the area was carved out from the Akropong North District to join the New Juaben Municipal Assembly.

He said electricity supply, poor road network and poor drainage were some of the major problems facing the people and appealed to the assembly to embark on the development of the area.

Mr Yeboah indicated that the residents were reluctant to pay Property Rates, since according to them the assembly was doing little to help them.

He said robbers took advantage of the lack of street lights to attack traders in the night.
