Adwenpa Herbal Clinic organises free medical screening

Dr Yaw Opoku, the Chief Executive Officer of Adwenpa Herbal Clinic, has called on Ghanaians to report early to certified health facilities anytime they fell sick for quick medical attention.

He said diseases diagnosed early cost less to treat than those diagnosed late and urged Ghanaians to desist from self-medication, which was dangerous.

Dr Opoku made the call when the clinic held a free medical screening for the people of Akweteman and its environs in Accra.

The exercise, which attracted more than 300 people, screened for diseases such as malaria, Hepatitis, blood glucose, blood pressure and eye infections.

Dr Opoku said the exercise was part of the clinic’s efforts at building a healthy society and ensuring healthy lives of the people.

He said the clinic, as part of its social responsibility, had instituted ‘Free Medical Screening’’ every public holiday as its contribution to the promotion healthy living in the country.
