Adult Educators Attend Workshop At Asesewa

Asesewa (E/R), Aug. 25, – A one-month workshop for 40 adolescent peer educators has opened at Asesewa in the Eastern Region. The participants will be given orientation on the mode of transmission, control and prevention of HIV/AIDS and other Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD’s). The workshop also aims, among others, to promote behavioural and attitudinal change in communities around Asesewa and to introduce sustainable structures and systems for updating of health information in relation to AIDS/STDs. The organisers hope the workshop will forge a link between community health education structures and the traditional providers of health information. The programme is being organised by Youngsters Peer Education Project (YPEP) in collaboration with Plan International Ghana, an NGO.
