Adukrom to benefit from 210 million-cedis drains improvement project

Kumasi, July 10, GNA – The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) has awarded a 210 million-cedis contract for the construction of drains in the Adukrom electoral area and its communities in Kumasi.

Mr Lukuman Mohammed, assemblyman for Adukrom, said this in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Kumasi on Thursday. He said Cetem Company Limited one of the three contractors on the project had started work and had completed the digging and expansion works on the drains at Akorem-Kyebewe.

“The concrete works on the drains are also to start soon in the area,” he added.

The assemblyman commended Dr Baffoe Bonnie, Member of Parliament for Asokwa East, for pledging to assist them with 20 bulbs for the streetlights.

Mr Umaru Farouk Gado, Chairman of the Adukrom unit committee, complained of the irregular clearing of refuse situated between Holy Spirit Basic School and the Open Heavens International School at Adukrom.
