Adjiri Blankson: Anane must stop his lies about Akufo-Addo

A former Accra Mayor, Stanley Nii Adjiri Blankson has launched a scathing attack on former Health Minister, Dr. Richard Anane, asking him to behave like a mature politician.

Mr. Blankson’s attack on the NPP member comes after Dr. Anane blamed NPP flagbearer hopeful, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, for the perceived friction between him and former President John Agyekum Kufuor.

Dr. Anane made the startling allegation during the flagbearer campaign launch of former Minister of trade, Alan Kyeremanten on Saturday.

According to him, Akufo-Addo and his campaign team in 1998 approached some party elders to ask Kufuor to step down although he had been voted as the party’s flagbearer for the 2000 elections.

But speaking to Citi FM, Mr. Blankson said Dr. Anane must retract the lies he spewed during Kyeremanten’s campaign launch.

“I find such ugly and noisy aberration from Dr. Richard Anane simply as coming from a tired, confused and flaccid father who forcibly wants to put his child to sleep by talking ananse sem stories”, Adjiri Blankson said.

“Dr. Richard Anane is a mature politician who should know better, particularly with that singular opportunity he had to tell the much needed audience the virtues and programme of his candidate and my good friend Alan, but wasted time lying and creating so much embarrassment to his team”, he said.
