Adiembra Odikro initiates three-year development plan

Baffour Yentumi Ampofo II, Odikro of Adiembra Number Two in the Asamankese Traditional Area, says the development and empowerment of unskilled youth is a national problem.

He said as future leaders’ government and other stakeholders should be able to reverse the situation.

Baffour Ampofo was speaking after inspecting a classroom block for the local basic school, which forms part of a three-year development plan, he launched.

He said the project is aimed at boosting school enrolment in the area.

The project funded by the Odikro and estimated at GH? 3,000 is being complemented by communal labour from the beneficiary communities.

Adiembra Number Two is a cluster of communities stretching more than three kilometres, and this compels children to walk long distance to attend school.

As part of the three-year development plan, roads from Danso to Asuotwene through the clustered communities would be reshaped and provided with culverts.

The 12 communities will also benefit from an electrification project, boreholes, clinic, a modern palace and afforestation programme.
