Adhere strictly to the aims and objectives of fellowship –

Vice-Chairman Deduako-Kodiekrom (Ash), Feb. 9, GNA – Mr George Omane, National Vice-Chairman of the Association of Methodist Men’s Fellowships, has called on members to adhere to the aims and objectives of the fellowship, to assist the church in the realization of its social responsibility programmes. He urged the fellowship members to be a beacon to draw others into their fold.

Mr Omane was speaking at the inauguration and induction service of the Grace Methodist Church Men’s Fellowship at Deduako-Kodiekrom near Kumasi at the weekend. He said as Christians they should pursue and aspire for spiritual growth.

The Very Reverend Christopher Andam, Superintendent Minister of Ayigya Circuit of the Methodist Church, called for unity and co-operation among the leadership and members of the fellowship. He advised the executives to assist and open more branches of the fellowship in the Ayigya Circuit as a means of helping to spread the word of God.

Mr Asare Yeboah, Chairman of the Kumasi Diocese of the Fellowship, said the Deduako-Kodiekrom branch was the 73rd to be inaugurated in the diocese. He called for brotherliness among members to enable the fellowship mobilize more men to help in the church activities. Reverend John Kofi French, Minister in-charge of Deduako-Kodiekrom Grace Methodist Church, who preached the sermon, said the fellowship was the bedrock of the church and as such they should be role models and lead upright lives to be shinning example to others.

Members inducted into office include Mr Samuel Moore, Chairman, Mr Kofi Kwakye Marfo, Vice-Chairman, Mr Emmanuel Amoah, Secretary, Mr Thomas Cudjoe, Assistant Secretary, Mr Albert Kum Annan, Treasurer, Mr Osei Wireko Ababio, Public Relations Officer and Mr Stephen Opoku, Chaplain.
