Adentan Municipal Assembly issues trading ultimatum

The Adentan Municipal Assembly has given four months ultimatum to shop owners in the Ogbojo new market to start trading there.

Speaking to Radio Ghana the queenmother of the market, Madam Zenabu Salifu, said failure to respond to the call will compel the Assembly to give out the stores to those who are ready for business.

According to her, the lackadaisical attitude of some occupants is a major contributor to the low patronage by customers.

The Assembly woman for the area, Hajia Alimatu Musah Issah, expressed worry over the slow pace of business in the market.

She however encouraged the market women to have patience, adding that, plans are underway to inject life into the market.

According to her, the Assembly will use the public private partnership policy to help put the market on its feet to give Ogbojo a facelift.
