Addo Kufuor pays last respect to Chief

Abura Wiomua (C/R), April 30, GNA- Dr. Kwame Addo Kufuor, Minister of Defence, was on Saturday among thousands of mourners who paid their last respect to the late Nana Kofi Odzieasempa Dadzie VIII, Chief of Abura Wiomua, in Wiomua in the Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese District. Mr. Andrews Mensah, Member of Parliament (MP) for the Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese constituency accompanied the Minister to the funeral.

In a tribute, the MP said the late chief was devoted to development and ensured that the town benefited from school buildings, electricity, portable water and projects.

Mr. Mensah said the death of the traditional ruler had created a vacuum in Wiomua and the Abura state.

Late Nana Dadzie, aged 58, and a teacher by profession, died after a protracted illness at the Cape Coast Central Regional hospital sometime in December last year.
