Adansi South inaugurates Ghana at 50 planning committee

New Edubiase (Ash), Aug. 29, GNA – The Adansi South district in Ashanti has inaugurated a 13-member district planning committee for the country’s 50 anniversary celebrations.

The committee, which included some heads of departments, NGOs, traditional leaders, assembly members and other opinion leaders in the district, has Mr Francis Dorpenyoh, District Chief Executive for the area as the chairman.

It would be responsible for the planning, execution and implementation of all the activities and programmes to ensure the successful celebration of the anniversary in the district. Speaking at the inaugural ceremony at New Edubiase, Mr Dorpenyoh appealed to members of the committee to dedicate and commit themselves to the task assigned to them so that the people in the area would enjoy the anniversary celebration.

He advised them to always consider the interest of the members in the communities first before deciding on activity in relation to the anniversary celebrations.
