Adansi South DCE inspects 1.2 billion-cedi market project

New Edubiase (Ash), March 13, GNA – Mr Francis Kudjoe Dorpenyoh, Adansi South District Chief Executive at the weekend inspected an additional two-storey market building now under construction at New Edubiase. The 1.2 billion-cedi project being executed by Messrs M C George Construction Limited is expected to be completed within six months. When completed, the building, consisting of 32 stores and being financed by the District Assembly would enhance business activities among traders in the District.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency after the inspection, Mr Dorpenyoh gave the assurance that the Assembly would ensure the successful completion of the market, stressing that the Assembly had also put in place measures to ensure the proper maintenance of the market. The DCE announced that the Assembly would intensify its tax collection at the market to increase its internal revenue generation. He urged the contractor to be diligent in executing the project so as to complete the work on schedule.
