The Public Relations officer (PRO) of the Upper East Regional Police Command, ASP Thomas Agbanyo has confirmed that another suspect has been arrested in connection to the death of Mr. Adams Mahama, the Upper East Regional Chairman of NPP.
Speaking to Accra-based Citi FM on Monday, ASP Agbanyo revealed that “The other man is still on the run, and we are still following him to get him arrested. So far we have arrested another person in addition to the first one arrested for abetment of crime,”. When asked of the name of the suspect, ASP Agbanyo refrained from mentioning his name at this stage of their investigation.
The police officer noted that the suspect “has also been sent to Accra for interrogation but the real suspect mentioned by the deceased has not been arrested so we are still looking for him.”
He was confident that the police service would work assiduously to bring to book the perpetrators of this crime.
Mr. Adams Mahama died last two weeks following an acid attack on him by some assailants.
