Adaklu promised a district under NDC government

Ho, Dec. 12, GNA – Mrs. Juliana Azumah-Mensah, Member of Parliament (MP) for Ho East, has assured the people of Adaklu Traditional Area that a government of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) would create a separate district for the traditional area.

Mrs Azumah-Mensah, who has retained her parliamentary seat, said a separate district was a better option to transferring the district capital from Kpetoe to Adaklu.

Mrs Azumah-Mensah, who was speaking in an interview with the GNA, urged the people of Adaklu to vote massively for Professor John Atta Mills in the run-off on December 28.

“Let us all put our shoulders to the wheel of development” she said. Mr. Victus Avuwoada, who contested the seat against Mrs Azumah-Mensah on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party, appealed to the Party’s supporters to bury their differences and unite to fight the battle ahead of the party.

“Let the just ended election be a wake-up call for us to put the past behind us and strategize to win the run-off”, he said. 12 Dec. 08
