Adabase Primary school receives gifts from sister school in UK

Bolgatanga, July 23, GNA – The Adabase primary school in the Bolgatanga district has received 3.3 million cedis and a set of jerseys and books from Eaton House Manor Preparatory School, their twin sister school in the UK. Adabase primary school was linked to Eaton through LINK partnership with the Ghana Education Service (GES).

Making the presentation to the school and the community, Mr. Nigel Bawells a British national, described the gift as a token of his appreciation to the people of Bolgatanga for an enjoyable stay. He urged the school to put the items to good use to the benefit of the pupils.

The headmistress of the school Madam Adisheitu Braimah expressed gratitude to the sister school for the support, saying that since the partnership, the school has witnessed great improvement in teaching and learning. She said the school is always among the first three best in the district in academic performance and has also performed well in sports.

Mr. Emmanuel Coffie, chairman of the Parent Teacher Association said the school expects more support from philanthropists such as Eaton since parents find it difficult to supply their wards with their needs, adding that the government alone could not satisfy the educational needs of the people.
