Acting Oblogo Chief Goes Into Hiding

The Acting Chief of Oblogo, Nii Mankralo has gone into hiding to avoid the police following a mob lynching of rival Chief Nii Kwame Bibini II near Weija on Sunday.

XYZ News has gathered that the Police and National Security are after the Acting Chief for interrogation over the rival chief’s murder.

Nii Mankralo however says he hasn’t received any invitation from the police or national security in that regard.

The deceased had just returned from exile after staying out of the village for months due to the chieftaincy dispute in that community.

He was shot and killed by a mob at the Oblogo Palace upon his return.

A number of suspects have been picked up by the police following the incident.

But Nii Mankralo who is currently in hiding at Kasoa in the Central Region in an interview with XYZ News said he had to seek refuge in Kasoa to avoid being arrested by the Police.

“I learnt the Police are there arresting people so I can’t go there because when I go I will be arrested”. Adding “I have to hide myself somewhere…if anything they can call me”.

Meanwhile, the Police Director of Operations, COP John Kudolor says the Police Service will do everything possible to arrest the killers of the former chief of Oblogo.

The Greater Accra Regional Minister, Nii Afotey Agbo has given the Police a three week ultimatum to arrest the killers.

COP Kudolor told XYZ News that with cooperation from residents in the town, the Police service will be up to the task.
