The Accra Serial Murderers have struck again at Ogbojo near Madina, a suburb of Accra. The murder came to light with the discovery of the body of a middle aged woman, who was believed to have been raped and later murdered.
The corpse of the woman was discovered lying naked in a prone position at a construction site at the area. Her body has been deposited at the Police Hospital Mortuary, while the Police who have instituted investigations into the case say the circumstances surrounding her death are similar to the unsolved murders of countless others in some parts of Accra.
Meanwhile, the federation of women lawyers say it is deeply disturbed by the continued killings of women in the country. in a statement FIDA said the continued sadistic killings suggests total failure on the part of state agencies to respond to the national crisis.
FIDA and its allied women groups have expressed their intention not to give up the fight for equal justice in the country. In the meantime FIDA warns all women to avoid walking alone after dark and restrain themselves from striking acquaintances with strange people.
