Content creator SDK says the pressure of paying rent in Accra is one of the main reasons he continues to produce content, even when his motivation is low.
Speaking on Behind the Hustle on 3Xtra, SDK revealed that he currently owes his landlord GH¢5,000. He said the financial responsibility has become a powerful reminder to keep working and pushing forward.
For SDK, the cost of living in Accra is not simply a personal challenge but also a source of motivation. He explained that knowing he has obligations to meet encourages him to remain committed to content creation during periods when he may not feel inspired.
“What keeps me going when I feel less motivated is the rent. Rent in Accra is not easy. As we speak, I owe my landlord 5,000 cedis.”
The content creator said the need to settle his rent has helped him maintain his focus. Rather than allowing a lack of motivation to stop him, he uses the pressure of his financial responsibilities to continue creating.

“The staying happy and feel-good moments keep me going. When people feel happy when they watch my content, and those who look up to me make me feel proud, it motivates me to create content.”
He said the happiness viewers experience while watching his work gives him a sense of satisfaction. Knowing that his content can create enjoyable moments for others provides another form of motivation beyond the need to earn money.
SDK also said the respect and admiration shown by people who look up to him make him proud. That recognition, combined with the positive response to his work, encourages him to keep creating even when maintaining momentum becomes difficult.
