Accra. Nov 21, GNA – The Judicial Committee of

the Greater-Accra Regional House of Chiefs, sitting at Dodowa, will on Friday, November 23 give its ruling on a “submission of no case” application, filed on behalf of Dr. Jo Blankson, the Ga Mantse, by Mr Willie Amarfio.

This followed a suit brought before the Committee by Mr A. G. Boadu, counsel for Nii Owula Kpakpa Brofonyo, Ga State Akwashong Manste (Supreme Warrior), challenging the installation of Dr Blankson as Ga Mantse.

In the suit, Mr Boadu is praying the Judicial Committee to declare as null and void, the nomination and installation of Dr Blankson as Ga Mantse.

This is, because, in counsel’s view, the nomination and installation did not follow laid down and approved Ga customs. On the application of “submission of no case”, Mr Boadu argued that the Judicial Committee of the Regional House of Chiefs, had no judicial powers to entertain the application, and humbly submits that the application was unmeritorious, and should therefore be dismissed.

Mr. Amarfio submits that the petitioner, the Ga State Akwashong Mantse, has no earthly right to bring the suit against the Ga Mantse. Consequently, counsel repeatedly described the Supreme Warrior’s suit or petition as fraudulent and bogus, which ought to be refused by the Judicial Committee.
