Accident at Ho involving four cars leaves two injured

At least two people are reportedly injured in a late afternoon accident Thursday involving four vehicles at the OLA Traffic Light in Ho in the Volta Region.

The near-fatal accident has been described as scary, as a government registered pick up truck ran over a taxicab at the traffic intersection before hitting a mini truck carrying crates of drinks.

The cab was turned upside down while the back wheel of the pick up truck hanged on the cab. Although it is not clear how the accident occurred, another taxicab had its bonnet wiped off.

A Facebook user, Elvis Bomasah, who arrived at the scene moments after the accident described it as scary, noting about two people were injured and have been rushed to hospital. “Fortunately, no one has lost their lives [sic] but it’s quite a scary scene here; very very scary… It is causing so much traffic here,” he said in a Facebook Live video just about five minutes after the accident happened.
