Accept us as major stakeholders-VORSAG

Ho, Feb. 25, GNA-Mr Emmanuel Gemegah, the immediate past president of the Volta Region Students Association of Ghana (VORSAG) on Saturday appealed to decision makers in the region to accept VORSAG as a major stakeholder in the region’s development.

” Consider us in decision-making because we are citizens of the region who have resolved to contribute our quota to the region’s development”, he said.

Mr Gemegah, who was speaking at the sixth handing over ceremony of the Association in Ho observed that the region was lagging behind in all fields of development.

He said, “political attitude” among people in the region to shun policies initiated by politicians they did not support could slow development of the region Mr Gemegah said VORSAG, which is non-political was ready to contribute to the development of the region in, especially the fields of policy advocacy.

Madam Mary Adzovie, Assistant Volta Regional GNAT Secretary, who swore in the new executives congratulated the out-going executives for a good work done.

Major (Rtd) Courage Quashigah, Minister of Health, who is Patron of the Association, assured members of his unwavering support as a true native of the region towards the development of the region. Mr Voice Kokoroko Tozo, the new president of VORSAG, on behalf of the other executives expressed gratitude to members of the Association for the confidence reposed in them and promised to meet their expectations.

VORSAG, among other things, is to foster unity among students from the Volta Region in tertiary institutions. It is also to inculcate and promote cultural activities of the region towards its accelerated development.
