Accelon Ghana to assist deprived schools in ICT

Kumasi, Oct 28, GNA – Accelon Ghana, a satellite Internet service provider, is liasing with deprived basic and second cycle schools in the country on how to be connected to the Internet. Mr Eric Djamson, Sales and Marketing Manager of the company, said this at a day’s seminar on Thursday to sensitise Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) as well as government and public sector agencies on the opportunities and benefits that can be derived from investing in telecommunications.

Mr Djamson appealed to African leaders and other stakeholders in the continent’s development to commit resources into the development of the telecommunications industry. He said for countries to develop and their economies grow in today’s global village, organizations must have access to reliable, efficient and effective communications infrastructure. Mr Djamson expressed the hope that the introduction of Accelon Internet Access would enable the public especially businesses to respond rapidly to customers needs.
