Abundant goods but low purchasing power characterised Yuletide in Anyinam

Anyinam, Jan. 5, GNA – A Ghana News Agency (GNA) survey at the Akyem Anyinam market during the Christmas and New Year festivities indicated that even though goods were abundant, people were unable to patronize as a resul= t of low purchasing power.

Traders could not sell their wares, especially, foodstuffs and left the= m at the mercy of the weather. Madam Christiana Kwakye, a seller, said at the time of the GNA’s vis= it at 11.00 hours, she had not sold anything.
