Ghanaian left-back Abubakar Seidu has joined Spanish side Las Lagunas from Atl Malagueno on loan, beginning a new spell in the Segunda Federacion.
The 20-year-old completed the move on 1 September 2026 and will remain with Las Lagunas until 30 June 2027. The agreement includes a return to Atl Malagueno at the end of the loan period.
Seidu arrives after spending the 2025-26 campaign with Atl Malagueno, having moved there from Malaga’s under-19 side on 1 July 2025. His senior season included 14 appearances in the Segunda Federacion – Group IV, with the defender scoring once across 841 minutes.
The Accra-born player operates on the left side of defence and is left-footed. Standing at 1.74m, he joins Las Lagunas as a player with experience of Spanish football and a full season of senior competition behind him.
Las Lagunas compete in the Segunda Federacion – Group IV, the same division in which Seidu recorded his appearances during the previous campaign. His move therefore keeps him in a familiar level of Spanish football while taking him to a new club for the 2026-27 season.
Seidu’s arrival also continues his progression through the Spanish game. He stepped up from Malaga’s youth setup to Atl Malagueno in July 2025 before making the temporary switch to Las Lagunas just over a year later.
His playing record at Atl Malagueno included a goal during his 14 league outings. The Ghanaian defender now has a new opportunity to add to that senior experience during his season with Las Lagunas.
The loan is the latest recorded change in Seidu’s club career, with Atl Malagueno retaining his registration beyond the temporary spell. Las Lagunas have secured his services for the campaign, while the agreement runs until the end of June 2027.
