Abu Ramadan is NADMO deputy boss

A former Youth Organiser of the People’s National Convention (PNC), Abu Ramadan, has been named as Deputy Director-General of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO).

A letter dated March 7, 2017 and signed by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo notifying Mr Ramadan, who joined the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) a few days to the 2016 presidential elections, of his appointment said: “Pursuant to Section 20(1) of the national Disaster Management organisation Act, 2016 (Act 927), I hereby appoint you to act as a Deputy Director-General of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), pending receipt of the constitutionally required advice of the governing council of the Organisation, given in consultation with the Public Services Commission.

I take this opportunity to congratulate you formally on your appointment.

Kindly indicate your acceptance or otherwise of this appointment, within 14 days upon receipt of this letter. Thank you”.
