About 750 persons to benefit from National Youth Employment Programme

Mankranso (Ash), Aug 03, GNA – About 750 persons in the Ahafo-Ano South District are to benefit from the National Youth Employment Programme when it takes off in the district this year.

Jobs will be created in sanitation, community protection, rural teaching assistance, auxiliary health assistance and agriculture. Addressing a cross section of the beneficiaries at Mankranso on Tuesday, Mr Frank Kwarteng, the District Co-ordinator of the Programme, stressed the need for competence, integrity and industriousness on the part of the employees.

He said the programme was initiated to reduce poverty and improve the standards of living of the rural people.
