About 163 candidates to contest for 54 seats in Kwaebibirem District

Kade, Aug. 24, GNA – About 163 candidates would contest for 54 seats in the September 12 District Level Elections in the Kwaebibirem District.

Twenty-one of the candidates are women. Mr Gabriel Dei, Kwaebibirem District Electoral Officer, told the Ghana News Agency at Kade four candidates for Okumaning-Dwenase, Darmang, Kwame Kuma (Akwatia) and Bontoduase Abaam electoral areas would be returned unopposed.

Mr Dei said Awasua Electoral Area had the highest number of six candidates including a woman.

Meanwhile, mounting of platforms in the district would begin at Kade on Wednesday, August 30.
