Abodakpi to declare intention of NDC Chairmanship slot

Dan Abodakpi, Ghana High Commissioner to Malaysia, will in the next few weeks come out with his position on a recent call by a group, Friends of Dan Abodakpi (FoDA), asking him to contest the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Chairmanship slot.

Mr Evans Armoo, Leader and Spokesperson of FoDA disclosed this to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in an interview in Accra after a meeting of the group with Mr Abodakpi.

The spokesperson told the GNA that Mr Abodakpi expressed his deepest appreciation to members of FoDA for the trust and confidence reposed in him.

Mr Armoo said the High Commissioner used the occasion to renew his call on the rank and file of the NDC to close their ranks, and remain united as members of one big family.

He stressed the need to re-brand and re-organise the NDC, in order for the party to attract more members at the grassroots.

The NDC would hold its National Delegates Congress to elect National Executives by the end of the year.
