Ablekuma Central NPP parliamentary aspirant files nomination papers

Accra, March 19, GNA 96Mr Ebenezer Nartey, a New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary aspirant for the Ablekuma Central, has called for unity, love and understanding among the constituency executives to recapture the seat from the National Democratic Congress (NDC). “The race is a matter of unity, love and understanding, but if we resort to insults to tarnish the image of each other during the campaign in the primaries, then we should forget about taking the seat from the NDC in 2012.”

Mr Nartey gave the advice when he filed his papers on Friday to contest the Constituency’s primaries. He said the constituency was at a crossroad and the constituents have the power to change the political landscape from 93an orphan to a parented one”.

“Together as a family we have a common goal of fighting hard to win back power from the NDC, for a better alternative, come December 2012, and that I want to bear the torch to spearhead our party’s victory agenda.”

The aspirant said the task ahead called for hard work and effective leadership and 93that is one of the reasons why I am putting myself out for this job.” He called on the supporters not to be overconfident because the 2012 election would not be an easy task because sacrifice and commitment will be needed.

He promised the people that he was ever ready to sacrifice to let the dreams of the party materialize, and said; 93I joined politics out of the desire to serve the people and I believe you can all attest to this fact from my daily encounters and dealings with you.” Other contestants in the primaries who have also filed their papers are Mr Jonathan Quaye, a lawyer and Mr Victor Okuley Nortey, former MP for the area.
