Ablakwa: I’m proud of NPP’s Francisca Oteng-Mensah

Deputy Education Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa says he is proud of the NPP’s Francisca Oteng-Mensah who has been elected parliamentary candidate at age 22.

The second year law student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology defeated incumbent MP for the Kwabre East constituency, Kofi Frempong by polling 321 votes as against his 202 in Saturday’s parliamentary primaries of the opposition party.

Commenting on the development in a tweet, the former deputy Information minister said Ms. Oteng-Mensah’s victory has strengthened his faith that women can contribute the most to development.

The NPP voted on Saturday to elect parliamentary candidates in 245 constituencies for the 2016 elections.
