Abeiku Ainooson named Man of the Match after Nigeria win

Ghana defender Abeiku Ainooson was named man of match after their semi-final penalty shootout victory over Nigeria at the Africa Nations Championship on Wednesday.

Ainooson began the match as the right-back and was later re-assigned as centre-back after Kwabena Adusei was sent off in the 64th minute.

The Asante Kotoko player also scored one of Ghana’s four spot-kicks in their 4-1 victory.

The match ended goalless after 120 minutes of football. Ghana players have won man of the match awards in all five matches played at the tournament.
