A total of 1,026 people were affected by disasters in five Municipalities and Districts in the Eastern Region.
The Municipalities include Kwahu West, East Akyem and Akuapem South and the Fanteakwa and Kwahu South Districts.
In all, 172 houses and 10 public schools structures had their roofs ripped-off.
A total of 593 acres of food and cash crops were also destroyed by fire outbreaks, while 14 houses were destroyed by domestic fires in those areas.
Mr Ransford Owusu Boakye, the Regional Coordinator of the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO), disclosed this in an interview with the GNA in Koforidua on Tuesday.
He said five other municipalities and districts recorded severe rainstorms, landslides and fire outbreaks including domestic fires and bushfires.
He said extensive damages to personal belongings, school buildings and large tracts of farm lands were caused as a result of the disasters.
Mr Boakye said in Kwahu West Municipality, a total of 427 persons were affected by the rainstorm and windstorm, which occurred on February 22.
In the Kwahu North District, two communities namely Apesika and Tonganu experienced landslides, which affected 316 people and destroyed 187 acres of farm land.**
