The sad thing that could happen to an organization is for it to loose it’s leader and a statesman.
Mr Rex Nyamekye Poku known as “Father Rex” who led ACONA for over 15 years, passed away on Oct.1st 2014. For over 15 years he steered the affairs of ACONA with dedication and intergrity ,uniting all of Asantes in Canada and United States.
Through his leadership medical supplies and equipments were sent to hospitals in Ghana by partnering with Project.c.u.r.e of Colorado and Doc to Doc of New York.He also as a leader of ACONA brought the former First Lady Dr Enerstina Naadu Mills to Denver Colorado for Project cure’s First Ladies luncheon in 2009.
Funeral Rite for the Rex Poku will be held at Dallas Texas on Nov.15 2014 All are cordialy invited to attend. Asanteman has indeed lost a Leader and a Statesman.
